About

My name is Joanne Fry, I am a senior Local Government Officer with over ten years’ experience working in large public sector organisations, including in European public administration in Brussels and Strasbourg.

I hold a Masters degree in Public Policy and Public Administration, as well as professional qualifications in project, programme and risk management. Most of my work has focussed on managing and improving the performance of local public services to increase efficiency and deliver value for money. I currently work at the London Borough of Islington, managing a team of Performance Analysts in Housing and Adult Social Care.

I also have a professional interest in sector-led improvement and participate in Peer Reviews of London councils with colleagues from the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services.

As well as writing articles for the Guardian Public Leaders, I have participated in the BBC Academy’s ‘Expert Women’ training, and am available for contributions to television and radio programmes relating to my areas of expertise.

All views published here and expressed elsewhere on social/conventional media are entirely my own and do not represent the views of organisations I work for or with.
